Our take

A comfortable, easy way to try grounding at home, backed by a 90-day money-back guarantee, but the science is still early. Think of it as a low-risk sleep experiment, not a treatment.

Best for: adults curious about grounding who want to test it without changing their routine · Not for: anyone looking for a fix for insomnia, sleep apnea or a medical condition (see a doctor first).

What Is the Tudormi Grounding Pillowcase?

The Tudormi Grounding Pillowcase (sold by Abundance Grounding) is a cotton pillowcase woven with 5% silver thread. Silver conducts electricity, so when the included cord is plugged into the ground port of a grounded wall outlet (or a grounding rod outside), the pillowcase connects your skin to the earth’s electrical ground while you sleep, similar to standing barefoot on grass.

This idea is called grounding or earthing. It comes in Queen and King sizes, in gray, ships from the USA and is a one-time purchase, not a subscription.

What the Research Actually Says

This is the part most grounding ads skip, so we’ll be direct. Research on grounding exists, but it is small and early-stage:

Sleep and cortisol: a 2004 pilot study (Ghaly & Teplitz, Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine) grounded 12 people during sleep for 8 weeks. Participants reported better sleep and their cortisol rhythms shifted. Interesting, but 12 people and no control group can’t prove much.
Inflammation and aches: reviews published in 2012 (Journal of Environmental and Public Health) and 2015 (Journal of Inflammation Research) summarize mostly small pilot studies with encouraging but preliminary results.
What’s missing: large, independent, placebo-controlled trials. Several of the best-known grounding researchers also have ties to the grounding-products industry.

Bottom line: grounding is plausible and low-risk, and some people genuinely sleep better with it, but claims like “reduces inflammation” or “normalizes cortisol” on the sales page go further than the evidence. Buy it to try, with realistic expectations.

What the research says about grounding and sleep

How to Use It

Slide the pillowcase over your pillow.
Plug the grounding cord into the ground port of a properly grounded outlet. If you’re not sure your outlets are grounded, a simple outlet tester (about $10 at hardware stores) will tell you.
Sleep as usual. Skin contact with the fabric is what matters. The brand suggests giving it at least 2 weeks.

It’s machine washable; follow the care instructions so the silver threads keep conducting.

Pros & Cons

👍 Pros

Zero effort: it’s just a pillowcase
No pills, no side-effect concerns for most people
Generous 90-day money-back guarantee
Machine washable, Queen and King sizes
One-time purchase, free US shipping

👎 Cons

Scientific evidence is limited and early
$99 for a single pillowcase is expensive; the multi-packs are much better value
Needs a properly grounded outlet nearby
The sales page uses heavy urgency (“expires at midnight”); don’t feel rushed
Results are subjective and won’t be the same for everyone

Who It’s For (and Who It’s Not)

A good fit if you’re curious about grounding, sleep on your own pillow every night, and like the idea of a no-pill experiment you can return within 90 days. Couples can share a 2-pack or 4-pack to bring the price per pillowcase down.

Not a good fit if you have ongoing insomnia, loud snoring or daytime exhaustion (these deserve a doctor’s visit, as they can signal sleep apnea), or if you expect a guaranteed result. If you use an implanted medical device or take blood-thinning medication, ask your doctor before trying grounding products.

Grounding Pillowcase Review: Frequently Asked Questions

Is it safe? Can I get an electric shock?

The cord connects only to the ground port of the outlet, which is not meant to carry current, so in a correctly wired home you are not connected to household electricity. Because miswired outlets do exist, we recommend checking yours with an inexpensive outlet tester first.

Does grounding really improve sleep?

Some small studies and many users report better sleep, but large independent trials are still missing. Treat it as an experiment backed by a 90-day guarantee, not a proven treatment.

How long until I notice anything?

The seller suggests using it every night for at least 2 weeks. Keep a simple sleep diary so you can judge honestly before the 90-day window closes.

Can I wash it?

Yes, it is machine washable. Follow the included care instructions to protect the silver threads.

Do I need special tools?

No. You only need a grounded outlet near your bed (or a grounding rod outside).

Is it a subscription?

No. It is a one-time purchase.

Where do I buy it?

It is sold through the official Abundance Grounding website. Use the button below to see the current offer.
